| The Society for the Preservation of Greek Housing (SPGH) |
The Society for the Preservation of Greek Housing (SPGH) originated at the University of Illinois in 1988. Our first goal is to preserve, renovate and restore the chapter house. Our second goal is to educate not only the University community but the public at large about the historic significance of fraternity and sorority chapters. Values, traditions, and friendships were formed by fraternity and sorority involvement in these chapter houses during college years and contributed significantly to the success of alumni and alumnae. SPGH wants to help ensure your fraternal structure is preserved to continue this influence. We will help you maintain the Greek community's appearance and character, which gives it an identity and a personality all its own. You make the history and SPGH helps you preserve it.
